Settlement Support NZ

The YMCA Tauranga has a huge investment in “building strong children, strong families, strong communities” and therefore believes in assisting new settlers to our region.

As the Lead Agency for SSNZ, we are one of 18 local Settlement Support initiatives around New Zealand which are funded by the Department of Labour.

Our service reaches across the wider Western Bay of Plenty to connect newcomer individuals and families with the information and services that support their settlement.  SSNZ arranges orientation workshops and presentations for new settlers and supports mainstream services and employers to meet those needs.
