Tomorrow’s Meals, which began as family business in 2006, delivers nutritious readymade frozen meals to your door. The meals are high quality Kiwi favourites that rely on fresh, wholesome ingredients to ensure they are nutritionally balanced and taste great.
The YMCA Tauranga recently took over the home delivery arm of Judea-based frozen meal company, Tomorrow’s Meals. Using its existing staff and fleet of 11 vans, the Y will now distribute tasty meals to customers throughout the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Auckland.
The philosophy behind the food is simple – good quality tasty healthy food at an affordable price. The varied menu is full of Kiwi favourites and everything is prepared in small batches to retain the wholesome flavour. Not even Mum can cook a better beef lasagne or sticky date pudding. Plus, once you’ve eaten, there are no dishes to do as the packaging is microwave and oven proof!
The strong partnership between YMCA and Frozen Fresh (the new name of kitchen that makes the meals) is a true win-win for all. The YMCA will help a local vendor, Frozen Fresh, grow its business by growing the home delivery business. It will also now have additional income through the Tomorrow’s Meals business while providing a personal connection to many people (some who are quite vulnerable) in our community; and any income generated will be poured back into the community. Everybody will benefit and their hunger satisfied at the same time!
