OSCAR - After School Care

Life for busy parents is often filled with anxiety when it comes to ensuring their children are well looked after, especially when they are unable to be there ourselves. It's also often difficult to find suitable care in order to fulfil the legal obligation of providing adequate supervision until they are 14.

The YMCA now have eight After School Care programmes in:

• Tauranga
• Mount Maunganui
• Otumoetai
• Welcome Bay
• Bethlehem
• Papamoa
• Greerton
• Arataki

The programmes cater for all ages and stimulating activities are guaranteed including: cooking, sports & recreation, arts & crafts, science & technology, and outings are also a feature. A nutritious afternoon snack is provided alongside afternoons of a range of activities.

A monthly newsletter and calendar informs families of planned activities and upcoming outings.

Our team of dedicated staff are trained to provide quality care and activities for your child/ren including the Certificate of OSCAR, Workplace First Aid, Learn to Swim or Lifeguard Award and Risk Management.

All YMCAs follow OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) policies and procedures to deliver holiday programmes and after school care. Regular Booked days $17

Regular Booked days (paid by Automatic Payment) $15
