Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 3)

This course is ideal for those who would love to be an early childhood teacher. It can result in the gaining of the National Certificate Early Childhood Education and Care (level 3). It is the first step in early childhood training and can be used for pre-entry into the level 5 certificate. The demand for trained early childhood teachers has risen and looks likely to continue with government legislation ensuring all early childcare educators are qualified by 2012. This is a growth industry with wages reflecting the importance of training. The YMCA has a very well experienced and qualified early childhood teacher who is passionate about delivering a quality and practical programme. Students will gain other employment skills, valuable work experience opportunities and assistance with everyday literacy and numeracy skills. Class sizes are small and caring relationships are fostered.
