About the Education Centre

The YMCA Tauranga is accredited to deliver programmes under the National Council of YMCA’s registration as a Private Training Establishment by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) under the provisions of the Education Act 1989.

The Education Centre runs free Training Opportunities (TOPS) programmes for people registered with WINZ as job seekers. These programmes will give you transferable skills to take into industry or to continue on with your learning. The vocational courses available include Business Administration, Computing and Early Childcare Education.

We also run a Certificate in Business Ownership programme online where you can learn how to set up, manage and run your own business. Like all of our programmes it is free.
