YMCA Tauranga is looking to appoint a new Y-Kids Casual Assistants.
This is an exciting progressive role for someone who has a genuine interest in helping with the running and the delivery of our After School Care Programme.
Casual Assistant:
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Assist with the delivery of ASC Programme
• Assist with the supervision of part-time and casual staff, volunteers and community workers on the programme ensuring the quality of delivery
is maintained to a high level
• Assist the ASC Supervisor with the delivery of the programme
• Transport children to and from school to the programme as required, checking that all children are securely seat-belted and defensive driving
is adhered to at all times.
• Review lesson plans in advance as required and communicate the plan to other staff
• Assist the Supervisor to ensure all team members are in compliance with all regulatory requirements, management policies and programme
operational documentation
• Lead the team in the set up and dismantling of equipment and/or materials as required
• Assist with the security of facilities and equipment maintenance.
• Other duties as required
Ideally you will have some experience working with children or demonstrate an ability to run activities with children as your main focus. You will give on-going support in a positive healthy culture that reflects our Core Values. You will also maintain relationships with parents and caregivers.
